# Command DBCopy

### **Syntax**

*Tell DSAK DBCopy filename newfilename*

### Function

Create a new database copy (without documents).

Only the design of the existing database is copied. A new replica id will be set for the newly created database.

### Parameters

* *filename*:  Full path and name of an existing database
* *newfilename*: File path and name of the new database

### Example

```
> tell DSAK DBCopy mail/abrunner.nsf test.nsf
22.01.2024 17:22:14   Recovery Manager: Assigning new DBIID for C:\Program Files\HCL\Domino\data\test.nsf (need new backup for media recovery).
22.01.2024 17:22:22   DSAK: Database mail\abrunner.nsf copied to test.nsf
